FOREST RIDGE

Where LARGE SITES and QUIET NIGHTS, WELCOME YOU, TO THE WAY CAMPING SHOULD BE…..

All seasonal sites for 2026 are happily filled. You can still submit an application, for us to keep on file, in case one of our current seasonal guests cancels. Thank you.

We are now accepting reservations for the 2026 season. All reservations made in the month of April 2026 will receive an extra 10 percent discount (in addition to your regular discount). To qualify for this discount, you will need to call the campground office to book your reservation and pay for your reservation in full. This extra promotional discount does not apply to reservations made online through our software and does not apply to seasonal reservations or reservations made prior to April 1st, 2026. Take advantage of our pre-season special. Call the campground for more information (207)-664-7070.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Forest Ridge Campground is a small, family owned and operated small business. We are not owned by a MEGA, out of state corporation. We are located roughly 14 miles from the National Park Entrance, and we are centrally located to MANY, UNIQUE coastal Maine communities (Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Bass Harbor, Seal Harbor, Gouldsboro, Schoodic Point, Blue Hill, Surry, Deer Isle, Stonington, Castine, Bucksport, Belfast, Camden, Rockland and MANY more! — ALL accessible within an hours drive. Why spend all your time on Mount Desert Island? Why pay all the high prices? and most of all, why deal with the heavy traffic on the island when there are so many other communities to explore!

Bring a chair, a picnic lunch and settle in for an afternoon of the true beauty that Acadia National Park can offer. This is a photo from Little Hunter’s Beach.

SCHOODIC POINT

Even when there is a hurricane off the Carolina coast, the seas at Schoodic can be very forceful and rough

And here are a couple of winter photos taken at Forest Ridge after an ice storm and after a fresh snow storm. We thought we would share these with you because it can can pretty cold in Maine in January !
