Stayed a month: We stayed a month at this quiet, well run campground. It was convenient to all we wanted to access. Unfortunately, Jeff could not control the weather. Would stay again. Hope the owners have continued success!

***** Five Star Rating (Sept 2023) This park is family run and the staff is super helpful. Sites are level and services are reliable including the internet most of the time. Location could not have been better for us. About 30 minutes from the different areas of Acadia National Park. Shopping and good dining options are close by. Area is quiet and all of the facilities are well maintained. Pool is above ground but large and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return to this park. We camped at Forest Ridge Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

***** Five Star Rating (Aug 2023) Nice and quiet. Great people and very helpful. We camped at Forest Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

**** Four Star Rating (Aug 2023) This is a quiet park with some trees and gravel spots. Everything was an hour away so in that way your centrally located. Nice pool. We camped at Forest Ridge Campground and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easy and Peaceful Pull-thru site was roomy and level with easy access to hook-ups. Well maintained facility. Easy access to town and Acadia. Hosts were helpful and gracious. Great stay.

***** Five Star Rating:
We spent two nights at Forest Ridge. The campground is clean, small and the people are exceptionally nice. They have a wealth of information of things to do and places to eat. They know the best places to go in Acadia National Park, and were very helpful. The sites are level, clean and the hookups are in good working order. Try the blueberry pie at the Union River Lobster Pot (restaurant). It is very delicious! We enjoyed our stay very much.

***** Five Star Rating:
We stayed here for 2 weeks and loved this campground! Workers were so friendly and very helpful. Nice size lots. Like that there was laundry on site. Love that the rules are followed and enforced. We will definitely stay here again.

***** Five Star Rating: 2022
We have a 43′ Class A with a tow vehicle and found this campground to be very nice. Long sites, but site #23 has a dip at the entrance so be careful there. Beautiful trails to walk, full hook ups, very quiet.

***** Five Star Rating:
“A gem of a campground”
To stay in a campground with  large lots, full service and upkeep makes this an affordable way to see Acadia, Bar Harbor and surrounding areas.

The rate reflects a monthly charge. We were so happy we booked a month at THIS park. Quiet, quiet, quiet- surrounded by forest and we slept very well. The location is a great base for visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The town of Ellsworth it is in had groceries, Walmart, drug stores and less congestion than Bar Harbor. Big rig friendly route as the park is located right off 1A scenic and therefore easy access to so many wonderful towns in this area. The park owner was an exceptional tourism guide for Downeaster Maine area. This owner takes pride in his park and we felt very safe. Full services at sites, gravel, level and long spots. The front section was satellite friendly. All new laundry equipment worked well. We camped at Forest Ridge Campground and RV Park (Formerly Hospitality Woods RV par in a Motorhome.

Forest Ridge is a very clean, quiet campground with no frills. It is close to downtown Ellsworth. Staff at the front desk took the time to tell us about the area including restaurants and scenic locations. The best part is they introduced us to spots in the area of that we did not see the last three times we were there. They were less populated and spectacular. We never would have found these places on our own. It is only because that staff took the time when we registered. The bathrooms were always clean. It was so quiet at night which is exactly what we were looking for in a campground. We camped at Forest Ridge Campground and RV Park (Formerly Hospitality Woods RV par in a Fifth Wheel.

“Great Park”
This park is truly a treasure! The owners are great people. They are very knowledgeable about things to see and do in the area. And they do it with a smile! I did not utilize the pool, bath houses or laundry, but the rest of the park is well maintained. The flowers and fountain at the entrance are very welcoming.

“Friendly ”
We enjoyed our time there. The sites were a bit tight but the owners were helpful with good advice. Great shower.

This campground is just outside the town of Ellsworth, but is quiet and surrounded by forest. Sites are roomy, mostly level, gravel pull-throughs, with grass and large trees. Cable TV and WiFi. Woman who checked us in was friendly and helpful with information on exploring the area. There are a couple of open areas to walk my dogs. We would stay here again.

Liked this campground although it was a 40 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The site was level and had some shade. It was near the laundry room and showers. The washer/dryer costs were reasonable. It was very convenient. The check-in was a bit bumpy but the owner?/manager came by later with a nice word and refunded $12 discrepancy between the printed cost and the charge on the office computer. I appreciated his personal touch. Won me over. I appreciate those personal touches. We camped in a motorhome.

Very dark and very quiet add up to great sleep. Large pull-thru sites with shade. Best cable and WiFi I’ve had in campground. Close enough to see all of the areas attractions. Owners are on site and are super nice people. We camped at Forest Ridge Campground and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little CG in the woods. Very helpful and friendly staff. Walked pups around the CG up to main entrance road. Excellent location with Acadia and Bar Harbor about 20 miles away. Wi-fi was excellent. We would return. We camped at Forest Ridge Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful trees, level campsites and very easy to maneuver through the park. The bathhouse and restrooms were spotless. Location is perfect, far enough from Bar Harbor that there is no traffic. But close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP that will make you want to go often. Ellsworth is a nice small town with some excellent food.. Owners, Jeff and Lynn are lovely and very helpful! Will definitely stay again!!Stayed: 2019-07-24 to 2019-07-31
